Followers equals Fellowship and My Giveback

Hello
So how many times have you heard this statement in Blogland, "I have met so many new friends !"  And how many people have you told that to, and they look at you like you have just stepped off the planet!
I know my kids have, I will be talking about someone and they will say, "Oh is that one of your blog friends?" and with their fingers make quotation marks, as if it is all in my head and not a real friendship. Now I have been known to take off for a good road trip now and then to meet my blog friends and spend a few days at their gracious homes... with much concern from my girls, "Mom! You don't know these people, what if they are mass murder's or something."  Ask Debra, I plopped on her doorstep for three days! Bless her heart.

Now, if you read my blog on a regular basis you know one of my best peeps is this lovely lady... Donna

Whom I met through this blog and if you have read Fifi's new cookbook, The Romantic Prairie Cookbook ... you will know we get together frequently and cook together :) She is coming to stay for the weekend tomorrow and I am looking forward to visiting and of course shopping together.
I have met so many other lovely souls that have become a part of my life. Whom I talk to regularly either by phone, fb, email or here on my blog. They have become part of my support system and God has blessed me with their love and wisdom.
For all this I am truly thankful.
So, this give back I am offering seems so small compared to what I have truly gotten, not that I think friendship can be bought. But it is just a token, as in the Blogland tradition. So from the bottom of my heart, a big thank you to all of you... to those who have become a part of my life, to those I haven't had the pleasure of talking with but read my meanderings and to those who even leave comments along the way.
I try to keep this as simple as possible, in order to have your name put in the random generator you must be a follower. That's it...
Just leave a comment and I will pick three winners on April 9th.

For the decor lover... a Spring burlap wreath

For the Art lover... a pocket full of goodies

For the Bling lover... a piece of my jewelry
(not necessarily what is shown here)

  6. Rebecca Your children's comments about us in blogland is so funny! I do hope if you get out Colorado way you will think about spending a bit of time in this mass murderer's home. Really, I promise the only thing I murder is some of the projects I get frustrated trying to do without success! Well I have been known to murder a meal or two too but promise I'll do my best not to offer you any burnt offerings if you come my way!!

  22. I am so glad to have met a kindred spirit... and on-line! You have stood out for a number of reasons and one is because it is obvious that you care about others and increasing your friendships.... Some in blogland never return mail... but even in your busy life you try to stop and do so and do it with love and care!
You make a difference to me!!!
and of course since I found you last year, I have been a follower!

  32. Congrats on finding so many new friends and thank you for the uplifting inspiration and gentle beauty you provide in each and every post. Yes, I get "the look" from friends and family when I speak of my blog friends too. I wish I were as fortunate as you to meet some of them in person. Most of mine live so far away it is not possible. But, we are still connected and friendship has indeed blossomed.

Have a lovely and rest filled Sunday!

  34. What a generous Giveaway... but then, the Generosity here in the Land of Blog is Legendary! I am in total agreement with the Community here being great Friends though I had to Smile about how your kids feel about it because often The Man, long time Friends, Kids and G-Kids didn't necessarily 'get it' either until they began to meet some of my "Blog Friends" in person and realize that the connections here can be extremely meaningful and authentic... and it is such a Joy to finally meet some of our Blog Friends in the flesh after enjoying such a good Friendship Online.

Blessings from the Arizona Desert... Dawn... The Bohemian

  36. Gosh Rebecca, I consider blog pals my friends. Once I sent prayers to a lady named Debbie at Lakeside. She was suffering with cancer, then she sends cards and prayers to me for my daughter who got cancer, at that time. I was amased that someone who had cancer still found the strength to pray for me and mine. That's a good heart. I have found great pleasure in making new friends..pen pals, so to speak. We get to share or joys and sorrows with one another. It helps..why go through life and not reach out to people. I will always think of you as a friend, xo, Susie
